The next generation oral fluid drug testing devices have recently become available in New Zealand. These devices provide you with an accurate, reliable and non-invasive method for detecting the recent consumption of illicit drugs among your staff.
Oral fluid drug testing is widely accepted overseas as an alternative to urinalysis for Workplace Drug Testing. As it detects only recent drug use (within the last 0.5 – 24 hours) it is more likely to reflect current impairment than urinalysis. For this reason, oral fluid drug testing is gaining recognition with the NZ employment court,1 Police,2 and the Unions.3

• Non-invasive, simple & clean sample collection.
• Fully observable process with a low chance of sample adulteration or substitution.
• Early time window for detection – detects recent drug use and is more likely to reflect current impairment.
• Quick and time predictable – a maximum of 15 minutes for collection, analysis and reporting.
• Reliable and accurate – THC sensitivity is comparable with urine testing.
• Portability – Ability to test anywhere – i.e. in your office or other private space.
• Compliant with AS 4760:2006; Procedures for specimen collection and the detection and quantitation of drugs in oral fluid.

ScentTECH provides on-site Oral Fluid Testing Services for;

ScentTECH LTD. is proud to usher in a new era in workplace Drug Testing with the Dräger DrugTest 5000 Mobile oral fluid drug Testing System. This system was developed to meet the high performance demands of law enforcement agencies, drug treatment centres and workplace environments. Oral fluid and urine drug testing methods each have their own merits and these are compared in a separate sheet. ScentTECH will discuss these with you so you can make an informed decision as to what method would be most applicable to your situation. With both methods, a “non-negative” sample result is required to be confirmed by an accredited testing laboratory.
